The Lisbon Arab Film Festival (LAFF) is a cultural initiative organized by a non-profit cultural association with the aim of promoting a more in-depth understanding of the Arab world and its cultures, beyond stereotypes and media coverage, and to develop dialogue with Portugal. 

As the first film festival in Portugal focusing exclusively on the Arab world, LAFF also offers an annual platform for the promotion of contemporary Arab cinema (with a great tradition and in full expansion in the last decade), taking works by talented and committed filmmakers and offering an unprecedented cinematic experience to the public.. 

But LAFF is above all a space for socializing and sharing, bringing together a diverse audience around a varied program (films, conversations with directors and professionals in the industry, gastronomic moments, music, poetry…) and promoting collaborations with the associative and cultural community.
